People were killed outside of game last time and they stayed dead the whole game I think.

A couple people died and didn't come back at all.

As for Kai, I doubt he knows me, besides by word of mouth. If it comes to it, let’s not hesitate to consider the risk might be worth the reward.

Death is not always permanent, particularly in our world. If that was not truly Kai's end, he would know that Caroline is carrying the twins. Why else would he insist on seeing her, other than being a nuisance?

Lie to him. About what you remember. For now, that is the best course of action. If he believes you are not with child, he'll have no reason to come after you, and with no magic, no recourse to discover otherwise.
