IN CHARACTER

CHARACTER NAME: Stefan Salvatore
CHARACTER AGE: 164 years old
CHARACTER CANON: Wiki
CANON POINT: Season 6, Episode 1 "I'll Remember"
ABILITIES: Being a vampire, Stefan has...

☓ enhanced speed, ontop of that, the ability to "appear" behind you/in rooms super quietly, appearing in a flash, essentially.
☓ the ability to jump really high
☓ enhanced strength
☓ enhanced senses (sight, smell, taste and especially hearing, vampires can hear conversations from across a room)
☓ when the fangs come out, his eyes go black, red-black veins protrude outward (this also happens when he's hungry)
☓ the ability to compel a human not on vervain - this is making eye contact and getting them to do something/say something/forget that anything happened whatsoever
☓ he can manipulate or enter a persons' dream state, especially when they're weakened, this is easier with humans. this can be as simple as appearing in someone's mind
☓ early in the series, and through the character of lexi, it's been illustrated that some older vampires can fabricate illusions. Lexi causes Stefan to think he's been starving for years, while Damon wastes time manipulating fog and sending a crow places. stefan never uses this, just being thorough
☓ a vampire can never age, and they heal faster from injuries
☓ his blood can also heal a human's injuries
☓ if he feeds you his blood and you die, you wake up in transition to become a vampire

Being a vampire also means there are weaknesses...

☓ a vampire needs to be invited into a dwelling
☓ a vampire can't walk into the sunlight, but stefan has a ring that lets him walk in the sun
☓ fire, a stake through the heart, beheading, heart-removal, sunlight, and a werewolf (or hybrid) bite are all lethal to vampires.
☓ vervain weakens a vampire if ingested or injected. it also burns. (but it also keeps an original vampire from being able to compel them). when extensive amounts of vervain are in their system, they can't compel
☓ being stabbed by anything wooden is excruciating but not fatal, this is the same with wooden bullets
☓ feeding on animal blood makes a vampire weaker than say if they fed on human blood (like Stefan)
☓ older vampires are stronger but hybrids do seem to be the exception

As a human, he is a doppelganger

☓ his blood is a potent spell ingredient

Outside of his supernatural qualities...

☓ Stefan has also attended school over 17 times (including the Ivy's), so he is very knowledgable, especially when it comes to American history. He has a knack for memorization when it comes to dates
☓ Stefan speaks fluent French, and so-so Italian and Latin
☓ He is a very good cook
☓ He can ride a motorcycle
x He's a skilled football player

SURVEY

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?: He grew up wealthy, became quickly denounced and then killed his father. Because of what he is, he never wanted for nothing. He had compulsion at his fingertips, so-to-speak. But his aims were never economic. He has a distorted version of wealth because he just makes his way himself. Coming back to town in season 1, he probably inherited Zach's (his great descendant's) wealth. But not once has he had to worry. He doesn't see himself as wealthy, but he's never thought about it either. He skipped town, got a job and manages a life there. Anyone else would care about the money it takes. He still cares and tracks money because down South he confronts his boss with zeroes off his check. Where he's been, he recognizes the value of a dollar and likes being the regular person.

WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?: Stefan has matriculated multiple! times. He's chosen something different every time. Based on canon and his knowledge, he's definitely studied American History, European History, English, and French. He only started going to college after the 80's. He cares about what matters and he believes history repeats itself.

WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR CHARACTER?: Name it. Seriously. But, if you were to narrow it down, it's being turned into a vampire. It started everything. Before then, he was a spoiled, sweet, wealthy Southerner. Becoming a vampire lead to the life he's lead for better or for worse. (Up to you if it was for better or for worse.)

DESCRIBE YOUR CHARACTER USING ONE SONG FROM THE EARLY 2000S: Somewhere I Belong - Linkin Park

NAME 1-3 VICES YOUR CHARACTER INDULGES IN:

1. Alcohol
2. Sex

He's not big on vices because he's big on moderation but he's there for the top two in the clinch.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S LIQUOR OF CHOICE?: Bourbon. Neat.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER LIKE THEIR EGGS?: SO. Scrambled is easy and makes a good, easy breakfast. But the best egg? Slightly runny. Over-easy. The messier, the better. Between the aesthetic and the artistry.

IF YOUR CHARACTER HAD TO DRINK SOMEONE'S DIRTY BATHWATER, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?: If he had to? At this moment? To an extent he probably wouldn't care germ-wise, but he's not a bath-water guy. So at this canon point, he would drink his current girlfriend Ivy's. He deeply doesn't care, but he wouldn't drink a stranger or his ex-friend's.
